Agither (Alpha-Beta Arteetheer) injection is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation
Precautions & Warnings
Safety of Agither (Alpha-Beta Arteetheer) injection during Pregnancy is not established.
The World Health Organization currently advises against the use of artemisinins in the first trimester of pregnancy, unless in a lifesaving situation where other drugs are not suitable. In the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, artemisinin and its derivatives are not recommended unless alternative drug treatments are unsuitable.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, cough and dizziness. Body ache, general weakness, vomiting, pain at inj site, abdominal pain, leg pain, chills and rigors and watery diarrhoea.
Drug Interaction
Avoid using with drugs that prolong QT interval
Dosage
I.V or I.M . Administration
Adults: One ampoule of 150 mg /day for three days
Chidren:Not recommended
