Indications
- Pain and inflammation
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Gouty arthritis.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity or allergy to etoricoxib or any other NSAID.
- History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation.
- Severe heart failure.
- Severe hepatic impairment.
- Pregnancy, especially during the third trimester.
Safety and Warnings
Etoricoxib may increase the risk of cardiovascular events, such as heart attack or stroke, especially in individuals with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions.
Long-term use of NSAIDs, including etoricoxib, may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and ulceration.
Precautions
- Etoricoxib in Agecob-MR Tablets should be used with caution in patients with a history of hypertension, heart failure, liver or kidney dysfunction, and in elderly patients.
- Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended during treatment with etoricoxib.
