Composition
Each tablet of Agex-Cold contains:
Paracetamol.............325 mg
Phenylepherine............5 mg
Diphenhydramine .........25 mg
Caffein..................30 mg
 

Indications
Agex-Cold tables offer relief from symptoms such as pain, sinus congestion, runny nose, and sneezing due to colds, upper respiratory infections, and allergies. 
Agex-Cold is an analgesic, antihistamine, and decongestant combination. The analgesic works in the brain to help decrease pain. The antihistamine works by blocking the action of histamine, which helps reduce symptoms such as watery eyes and sneezing. The decongestant works by constricting blood vessels and reducing swelling in the nasal passages, which decreases stuffiness.

Contraindications
Agex-Cold Tablet is contraindicated in following conditions:
• Allergy to any of its ingredients.
• Severe high blood pressure, severe heart blood vessel disease, rapid heartbeat, or severe heart problems
• Inability to urinate or asthma attack
• On sodium oxybate (GHB) or furazolidone or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor within the last 14 days

Precautions & Warning
Special precautions are needed in the following conditions:

• Pregnancy or planning for a pregnancy
• Breast-feeding 
• A fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat
• A history of asthma; lung problems (eg, chronic bronchitis, emphysema); Sleep apnea 
• Adrenal gland problems (eg, adrenal gland tumor)
• Heart problems
• High blood pressure
• Diabetes 
• Blood vessel problems; stroke; glaucoma
• A blockage of stomach, bladder, or intestines
• Ulcers
• An enlarged prostate or other prostate problems
• Seizures
• Porphyria 
• An overactive thyroid 
• Severe kidney problems 
• Liver problems

Drug Interactions 
Agex-Cold (Paracetamol, Diphenhydramine, Phenylephrine & Caffeine) tablet may interact with any of the following:
• Beta-blockers (eg, propranolol), catechol-o-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitors (eg, tolcapone), furazolidone, indomethacin, isoniazid, MAOIs (eg, phenelzine), sodium oxybate (GHB), or tricyclic antidepressants (eg, amitriptyline) because they may increase the risk of paracetamol, diphenhydramine & phenylephrine's side effects.
• Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin), digoxin, or droxidopa because the risk of bleeding, irregular heartbeat, or heart attack may be increased.
• Bromocriptine or hydantoins (eg, phenytoin) because the risk of their side effects may be increased by paracetamol, diphenhydramine & phenylephrine. 
• Guanadrel, guanethidine, mecamylamine, methyldopa, or reserpine because their effectiveness may be decreased by paracetamol/diphenhydramine/phenylephrine. 

Dosage
Usual Adult Dose for Cold Symptoms: 2 tablets orally every 4 hours not to exceed 12 tablets daily.
